first floor decor.

Hey yall! I know it has been wayyy too long... but we are still working on our internet. I finally got a chance to post so here we go!

So we moved in on Aug 19, just 3 days shy of our 2 year anniversary :) Quite the anniversary present huh? We were so so excited to get moved in and start making this house our home. The last 3 1/2 weeks have been amazing. We have been working at the house on little projects every chance we get. It is definitely paying off. We love our home and we also love the neighborhood we moved to. Our neighbors are fantastic! Such a blessing! and we have definitely been taking advantage of making it a point to walk down and see the beach every day! Not sure why God has allowed us to have all these opportunities, but we sure are thankful and we pray that we glorify Him in everything we do.

We have also been so happy to share our home with our friends and family. AND we want to share it even more so yall come on down and see us!!

So... Can't give it all away in one post so we will start off sharing some pictures from the first floor.

Let us know what you think... AND any ideas for decorating!!!

Here's our trailer loaded down with our lovely antiques!

The living room area. Still on the hunt for a mantle, but its all coming together.

Another view of the living room area.
Sorry for the blurry pic. (My camera screen is broken so I can't see the pics when I take them haha)

Remember way back when we bought these tables at the Seaside yard sale?
We used one in the half bath and the other here at the entrance!

This is by far my favorite piece!!
This was my great-grandmother's Singer sewing machine. So special.
Thankful to have this in my home.

The half bath finished!
The butcher block counter came in! love this.

Church pew and stairs.

We didn't have a bed so we made one :)
We saved the extra wood from the posts that they cut off on the front porch. Turned out perfect.

Our bed all finished... still have a surprise project that will go behind the bed :)

We took a trip up to the N. Georgia mountains last weekend...
and we found this awesome chifferobe.
And what made it so neat is that it actually had the original receipt inside.
It was purchased in Feb 1924 in Atlanta, GA from Haverty's Furniture. Wow!
So we need to put a little work into it... but it is such a pretty piece!

So back on in June we went to N. Georgia with my family... that's when we picked up all of the rocks that would soon be our shower floor...

Not an easy job but he did such a good job...

Just like bathing in the river!!!

Building our closet shelves!
Couldn't get them all in one pic but you get the idea :)
