A Ton of Doors...

And by "a ton of doors" I really mean a ton... we loaded up the truck with over 2000 lbs of doors for our house today!
We found a really awesome Builders Supply warehouse in Pensacola where we saved about 75% on exterior and interior doors! And they are absolutely beautiful! We had such a fun time picking them out and it made it even better to know that we got such a good deal on them! So check them out. Let us know what you think :)

FRONT DOOR!!! LOVE IT!!!

Beautiful French Doors
We have 2 sets to go on each side of the front of the house

Mahogany Doors for the Study

French Doors for Master Bathroom

Interior Doors

Our awesome teak antique door! We will probably use this for the pantry door.
We have one more... in a little worse shape but will definitely use it for something! :)

Groundbreaking

It has officially begun! We had our groundbreaking on March 17, 2011. We are now "laying the foundation." Woohoo!
As we build, we pray that we never lose focus of our true foundation... the one laid by Christ. Praying that our home will be a place that we can share with friends and family... and that all things will be glorifying to Him!
We are so excited to finally get going on our house. Can't wait to see it all come together and excited to share it with you through this blog!
So far, we have finished digging and poured the footers for the house and porch. Next step is to finish up the block and pour the slab!
Check out some pics from the last week.

Randomness..

Hey everyone!

So, the building process will be on hold for just a short week- as my sweet husband is in Honduras serving the village of Wasparani, Honduras by building them a health clinic/church. What an amazing opportunity for him to serve our God through the skills that he has been blessed with. I am thrilled to hear the amazing stories that he will have when he gets home!

So while he is away... I figured I could come up with SoMeThing to 'blog' about... so here it is.

Here are a couple of random projects that we have been working on over the past couple of months.

This is a table that we found at Goodwill, for a wonderful price of course :) We had been wanting a console table to go behind the couch... so we figured we could make this work.

Here it is finished..
Except this is an old pic - it now has a nice candle display and is stocked up with some wine :)
But you get the idea.

This is a really neat Teak Patio set that we also found at Goodwill. I don't have an 'after' picture... but we just did a little sanding and it looks brand new!

Our latest project...
So our nice beach cruisers were getting a little rusty...

So we took them apart, primed them white, and then painted them...

This is my bike finished..

And here is Matt's. We are pretty proud :)

I am sure that over the next couple of months there will be a whole lot of 'little projects' involved with the  BIG project of building our house. So I will be sure to post those along the way.

Have a blessed day!
